THIS IS WHAT THE U.S. SENATE INTENDS TO PASS THIS SPRING AS "COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM"
THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS WERE IN LAST YEAR'S BILL
Last year, the U.S. Senate passed S.2611 (700 pages that many senators admitted they never even read) that was a massive give-away for both LEGAL and ILLEGAL ALIENS:
an UNLIMITED number of legal immigrants allowed to become U.S. citizens, who could bring in an UNLIMITED number of their spouses, parents, and children who could also become citizens (the current number is about 950,000 per year);
According to the prestigious Heritage Foundation, last year's bill - that was defeated by the House of Representatives - would have brought 50 to 100 million new citizens.
KEEP READING, BECAUSE LAST YEAR'S S.2611 GOT EVEN BETTER FOR THE ILLEGALS
An illegal alien, to prove residency and employment for the last five years would be required to present two forms of proof - as simple as a business record or a signed affidavit - with no requirement the business record be certified or that the affidavit be signed by an American citizen. The illegals could vouch for each other's residency and work record even with fraudulent documents.
An illegal alien who resided in the U.S. from two to five years could still apply for permanent status and eventual citizenship - NO CAP ON THE NUMBER WHO COULD QUALIFY UNDER THAT CRITERIA. Same as above - vouch for each other's claims.
Those illegals having resided in the U.S. for less than two years could apply for the new "guest worker" program and have the opportunity to become citizens. That yearly quota was expected to be 200,000.
HOW MANY DO YOU THINK WOULD HAVE CLAIMED FEWER THAN FIVE YEARS?
HANG IN THEIR, FOLKS, BECAUSE THIS IS WHERE IT GETS REALLY GOOD
Even if illegal aliens committed fraud or stole someone's identity, they would have been awarded social security and welfare benefits and ... even given credit for time worked in Mexico!
prosecution for these felonies would be waived, though citizens convicted of the same crimes would be prosecuted;
as new citizens, they would be have the right to vote, but U.S. citizens who committed the same felonies would be prohibited from voting;
prosecution of employers who hired illegals would also be waived;
ILLEGAL ALIENS and their children would receive in-state tuition at universities and colleges and prioritized access to financial support.
MORE INSULTS FACING AMERICANS ---
A "TOTALIZATION" TREATY WITH MEXICO (NOT PART OF LAST YEAR'S BILL) is waiting for the President's signature. This treaty qualifies illegal aliens to receive social security benefits after a mere six quarters, while U.S. citizens would confine to need 40 quarters to qualify.
